Nubble Lighthouse

Nubble is a small island off the eastern point of Cape Neddick, north of York Harbor. In 1876 congress appropriated $15,000.00 for building the lighthouse on Nubble Island. The 41-foot tower was first illuminated on July 1, 1879.
